Friend
There is so much dimension in today's card! I am totally LOVIN' the new vintage wallpaper impressions embossing folder for the Big Shot! It adds so much elegance to any project, very simply. I used it to create a textured background for the cardbase and for the butterfly. I attached two strips of the new 1/8" taffeta ribbon to give the illusion of a wider, striped ribbon.

Vintage Neutrals
When the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog is unveiled on July 1st, the color renovation begins! The Neutrals Collection is great for creating projects with a vintage vibe. Today's card features my all-time favorite stamp set, Lovely as a Tree. The image panel was distressed using markers and the color spritzer tool, paper tearing and sponging.

Best Wishes
With Stampin' Up!s new color renovation, Kraft will be renamed Crumb Cake. I'm so glad they're retaining this color - it's so versatile! I love using this fabulous neutral as a cardbase. Today's card features Crumb Cake paired with Bashful Blue and Concord Crush, a new In Color.
I created the main panel by heat embossing with the always-fun Circle Circus stamp set. I had a small scrap of satin ribbon on my craft table and hate to throw any amount of ribbon away, so I simply tied it in a knot, attached it to the panel with a glue dot and secured the ends around the back. It adds a nice, elegant touch.

On My Mind
In a mere five days, the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog will debut! I'm so excited about a lot of the new accessories and can't wait to get my hands on them. In the meantime, I'm trying to use up some of the retiring product that I have on hand. Today's card features that designer series paper and Soft Suede polka dot grosgrain ribbon (which I reversed to use the non-dotted side). This very simple, basic card layout is a great way to use up scraps of designer series paper that you may have accumulated. And you're getting a sneak peek of one of the newest punches that will be available July 1st - the 2-3/8" circle punch! I'm totally lovin' that! :-)

Tropical Thanks
Another card tonight...this time based on a sketch challenge. I love how bright and cheerful this card is - the rhinestone brads and embossed sentiment really pop. The designer series paper is from the Summer Mini Catalog and has such fun and funky designs!

Butterfly Birthday
Today's card features some of the new colors debuting July 1st - Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. These warm, yummy colors look fabulous with So Saffron, creating a very summer-y vibe. Lots of little details on this card...those wonderful textured butterflies creating with a simple crank of the Big Shot, textured background using an embossing folder (again with the Big Shot), delicate scalloped border, and the always-elegant satin ribbon. The smaller butterflies are adhered with stampin' dimensionals, making them look like they're taking flight!

Elegant Birthday Wishes
Time is running out for 30 of Stampin' Up!'s core colors as part of the big color renovation! While I'm sad to see some of them go, I'm very excited about the new color collections and new In Colors being introduced on July 1st.
Today's card features one of the retiring colors, Orchid Opulence. While I didn't reach for this color very frequently, I'll miss the intensity of this shade of purple. Sometimes it was "just right" for a particular project - like this one. I love how the vibrant hue off-sets the understated Certainly Celery to create a bright and cheerful combo! And that fabulous new Watercolor Trio stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog adds such a nice elegance to the card.

New Palette Coming Soon
With the release of Stampin' Up!'s new Idea Book & Catalog comes new In Colors! These trendy colors will now stick around for 2 years instead of just 1. New in July are: Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz - my newest favorite! Today's card features some new designer series paper that showcase the beautiful Pear Pizzazz that I've combined with Early Espresso and Tangerine Tango (a former In Color that's making a permanent come-back). This color combination feels so fresh!

Sneak Peek!
As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, getting a sneak peek at products from upcoming catalogs is a great bonus! Unfortunately, my pre-order and new Idea Book & Catalog arrived about 10 minutes before I had to head out of town for the weekend to move my mother-in-law closer to us. It's been a whirlwind of activity since Friday...got about 20 minutes to look through the new catalog on Friday night and then tonight I was finally was able to play with my new goodies. I love hydrangeas so this new Level 1 hostess set is my cup of tea!
Today's card features several new products: a new impressions embossing folder, new taffeta ribbon, and a new core color. What fun! On July 1st, these and many other new products will be available to everyone. So get ready to start a new wish list when you see the new catalog!

Butterfly on my Mind
Today's card features one of the soon-to-be-retired colors, Pale Plum. This was one of my first favorite colors, and I'll be sad to see it retire. I wanted something very subtle but elegant so I went with a monochromatic color scheme. The cardstock for the butterfly was stamped first and then run through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies die. I sponged the edges to soften it a bit and mounted it with stampin' dimensionals. A simple sentiment, more color sponged around the ends of the card, and done! This card could be recreated in any color for a variety of occasions.

Rock on!
I can't believe that it's almost the end of another school year! My son's last day of fifth grade is today and these are the cards I made for his teachers. We picked out iTunes gift cards, and I thought this rocker would be the perfect way to package their year-end gifts! I sure hope his teachers like them!

Tropical Cheers
Ok, last one folks! Today's card is another from my Stamp-a-Stack classes last weekend. It features a couple new products from the Summer Mini Catalog - Tropical Party stamp set and Island Oasis designer series paper. The colors are so yummy in the paper - Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron Rose Red, and Old Olive. By using the "cheers to you" sentiment, it can be used for a birthday (male OR female), graduation, congratulations, etc. Hope you like it!

Sweetest Day Ever
Are you tired of my Stamp-a-Stack class projects yet? Well, here's another one! I am a cupcake-aholic so the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set is right up my alley! It's a great stamp set for watercoloring, and I just love this Melon Mambo-Basic Gray color combo. I punched a circle of Melon Mambo, folded it in half and adhered it to the side of main image panel, and then tied a small knot through it. Hope you like it!

Vintage Birthday
Another card from my Stamp-a-Stack class this weekend...this time, a distressed, vintage card. It's a bit of a departure from my usual design approach, but I was very pleased with how it turned out. I used the soon-to-be-gone In Color Dusty Durango and paired it with So Saffron. I distressed the main image panel by crumpling the cardstock and sponging the edges to emphasize the crinkles.
I got more mileage out of the curly label punch by cutting it in half and placing the ends behind the wide oval punch. Fabulous, huh?

Bermuda Butterfly
Today's card features one that I designed for my all-occasion Stamp-a-Stack classes this month. Pairing In Colors Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay lends a very fresh feel to this "thinking of you" card. I love the delicate hummingbird image in the Elements of Style stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog. I didn't want to overwhelm the card with too many polka dots, so I turned the grosgrain ribbon over to hide the polka dots.
