Thankful Peacock

Do you ever hoard your stampin' supplies? C'mon, admit it. You've bought some wonderful embellishments and they sit on the shelf. Sound familiar? Well, I bought a Pretties Kit well over a year ago and have used hardly any of it. So today, I forced myself to put some pieces to good use.

I love this peacock image from the "Very Thankful" stamp set. If you didn't know, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities for every one of these stamp sets sold.
I inked up the stamp with Certainly Celery and then used a sponge dauber to add some Bermuda Bay on it. I used some polka dot ribbon, but turned it over to use the solid side instead. Using mini glue dots, I added some half-pearls from the Pretties Kit to the ribbon. I hope you like it!

Green Beer

Although I hate beer, I loved making this green beer in celebration of St. Patty's Day! My stamp-a-stack class this weekend featured a beer birthday card, and I thought the beer mug would be perfect for St. Patrick's Day. Hope you like it too!

I added a little shamrock at the bottom with the sentiment by using the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch.

Birthday Stamp-a-Stack

I'm holding birthday card stamp-a-stacks this weekend. My first class was Friday night and boy, did they have a good time! These ladies are all in my stamp club so they know each other and had a great time chatting while stocking up on birthday cards!
They created 5 different designs (2 of each) and these two cards ranked as their favorites:

I offer stamp-a-stacks just about every other month, so be sure to watch my event schedule for the next one! If you live in the Cincinnati area, I'd love to have you join us!

Welcome Neighbor

Today's card features one of the fabulous products you can earn for free during Sale-a-Bration, the Good Neighbors stamp set. Cutting out the little clouds was a bit tedious but I love the 3-dimensional look they create. I haven't used much of the textured cardstock lately and forgot how much I love it! It's perfect for adding that little bit of visual interest with its linen-like texture.

My Boy Scout

I'm interrupting this stamping blog for a brief moment of bragging. My son Evan crossed over this evening from cub scouts to boy scouts! I'm so proud of him, and I know his Grandpa Goodrich would have given anything to be there. I'm sure he's watching down from heaven with a huge smile on his face!

Here's one of the newest boy scouts in Troop 750 in Mason, Ohio with his Arrow of Light plaque:

And now, back to your regularly scheduled stamping posts...

Way to Go!

Today's card is for a very special recipient - but I can't divulge that information before it's in her hands. :-) I needed a congratulations-type card for a school achievement and love this sentiment from the Starring You stamp set. And this daisy die for the Big Shot has been neglected for a while now. I love how layering these flowers creates such a beautiful focal image. The tiny brad in the middle is from the new Sending Love epoxy brads from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

One of a Kind

It's an ugly evening here in Southwest Ohio - snow and slush and ice! I put on my PJs over an hour ago and settled into my craft room. As I was browsing through an issue of Stampin' Success - a magazine just for Stampin' Up! demonstrators - I was inspired by the bright Spring-like color combo of yellow and purple. What better way to combat a yucky Winter evening?!

I just can't seem to get enough of the wonderful Beautiful Wings embosslit and Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder in the Occasions Mini Catalog! Hope you like my creation!

Thanks for stopping by!

Star Birthday

I was toying around with some ideas for an upcoming Stamp-a-Stack and came up with this gender-neutral birthday card. I repurposed some pre-cut cardstock from an old project, stacked them and added the punched star image with some dimensionals. Simple, easy and perfect for any recipient!
