Elegant Thank You

Yesterday's card featured the new dotted scallop ribbon border punch. Today's card uses the same punch but with a different look. I attached the faux ribbon strip to the back of the image panel so only half of it shows. I love the delicate scallop edge it creates!

One of the newest impressions embossing folders - the vintage wallpaper folder - adds so much elegance to any project. For a simple but gorgeous card, just emboss with this folder and the Big Shot, and you instantly have a card with incredible dimension!

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome baby!

Yes, it's another card from my stamp-a-stack
! Today's card is a baby card that features a fun new product, the dotted scallop ribbon border punch. On this card, I used the entire Whisper White cardstock faux ribbon created with this punch. I'll post another card tomorrow that uses just a portion of the faux ribbon for a different look.

I'm so glad that Fox & Friends stamp set carried over into the new catalog. It has such cute animal images that are great for kid and baby cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Rockin' Birthday

As promised, here is another card from my most recent stamp-a-stack event. Keeping with a simple theme, this birthday card can easily be replicated in a variety of color combinations depending on whether the recipient is male or female. I opted for more of a masculine color combo - Concord Crush and Always Artichoke. It's a little hard to tell in this photo, but the new Concord Crush is such a deep, rich color - just beautiful!

Bright and Cheerful

The next few shares are from a private stamp-a-stack I did last week. The girls were mostly new stampers so the host wanted to keep the cards on the basic side. I love showing folks clean and simple cards...it prevents new stampers from feeling overwhelmed and reminds veteran stampers that simple can still be beautiful.

I love the bright color combination on today's card - Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight! It feels so fresh. I was so happy to see that Stampin' Up added more impressions embossing folders to the Idea Book & Catalog! Everyone is amazed how much dimension can be added to a project so simply.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be posting more clean and simple cards from my stamp-a-stack in the coming days, so be sure to check back.

Believe

It's been a busy week...we're getting ready to head out of town for a week's vacation with my entire family! I have lots of projects to share, so I'm hoping that we'll have wi-fi while I'm gone.

Today's card features more products from the new Idea Book & Catalog. I love this new Just Believe stamp set - so beautiful! I opted for a monochromatic color scheme and the new Elegant Soiree designer series paper was perfect. And check out the new crochet trim - this stuff is so elegant.

Fancy Favor

I'm very excited about today's project! After spending most of the weekend designing cards for a workshop and upcoming stamp-a-stack, I had an itch to make a 3-D project. And once again, Big Shot came to the rescue! Check this out:

I used the Fancy Favor box die for the Big Shot, some designer series paper, striped grosgrain ribbon and some punches to create a multi-layered flower. To add a little more pizzazz to the flower, I swiped a Versamark ink pad on the petals, applied clear embossing powder and set it with a heat tool and then glued a button to the center. Here's a close-up of the flower:

Hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by!

Just Believe

Today's card features more products from the new Idea Book & Catalog. I am LOVIN' the new embossing folders for the Big Shot! They make it so easy to add texture to your projects very simply. The floral image is stamped with new In-Color Pear Pizzazz and punched with the new 2-3/8" scallop circle punch so the image is off-set. A ribbon bow is attached using a glue dot and the sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso.

Vintage moments

Pushing myself outside my comfort zone, I tried my hand at vintage tonight. I'm typically a clean and simple stamper, but I've seen so many beautiful vintage creations lately. I stamped the floral image with Versamark ink on Naturals Ivory cardstock, then used clear embossing powder and heat tool. I added layers of color using a marker and the color spritzer tool, sponging the edges and then lightly all over. Rubbing a kleenex over the image removes any remaining ink to make the image pop! I hope you like it!

Thanks Big Time

Ready for another card featuring products from the new Idea Book & Catalog?? Well, I'm happy to oblige! Today's card features a former In-Color, Baja Breeze, and new In-Color, Poppy Parade. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the Poppy Parade cardstock is heat embossed with clear embossing powder, creating subtle texture with one of the new background stamps. I like layering the curly label punch by turning one 90 degrees to peek out over the top and bottom of another one. The finishing touch was a fun button from the new Brights Collection designer buttons.

Thanks for stopping by!

Monochromatic Thanks

I CASEd today's card from fellow demonstrator Tammy Fite. I simplified it, changed the color and plan on using this at a private stamp-a-stack later this month. I love this new In-Color Peach Parfait color! And the new stitched-poly ribbon is fabulous.

Tropical Celebration

Today's card is based on the Clean & Simple sketch 98 and features products from the current Summer Mini catalog. This color combo is so summery, making such a cheerful card. I love the Tropical Party stamp set and Island Oasis designer series paper - they coordinate perfectly to make all kinds of fun projects! There are several other products in the Summer Mini that also coordinate including an island floral die for the Big Shot, party favor boxes and 6x6 scrapbook.

Lucky Me!

YEAH! My first order from the new Idea Book & Catalog has arrived! I went a little crazy on the accessories this time around...designer series paper, brads, rhinestone and pearl jewels, buttons, ribbons, punches and more! My favorite? The new Two-Step Owl punch! This little owl is so cute and has so much dimension. With one squeeze of the punch, you get 9 pieces. Because most of the pieces are tiny, I suggest using a 2-way glue pen for assembly.

Stay tuned for more projects featuring new products...

Decor Stencils

Stampin' Up!'s Decor Stencils are so versatile! Part of the Definitely Decorative line, these stencils are perfect for your home decor projects, but can also be used on cards and in scrapbooks as well. Using a sponge dauber to apply ink with stencils creates an almost-airbrushed look. I used two shades of blue to add some depth to the image and then added some distressing with the color spritzer tool and a marker. It's hard to see in this picture, but I also added some pizzazz to the card base with Smooch Spritz, a pearlized accent spray, giving it some subtle shimmer. Finally, I used new Marina Mist taffeta ribbon and eyelet border punch to add the finishing touches!

Happy 4th of July!

Today's card is in honor of Independence Day and recognizing the sacrifices made by those who protect our country and their families. Former in-color Pacific Point and new Regal Collection color Cherry Cobbler are perfect for patriotic cards! Nothing fancy on this card, just straight forward stamping, layering, some paper tearing and, of course, stampin' dimenisonals!

New Catalog CASE

I challenged myself to CASE a card from the new Idea Book & Catalog so I randomly opened it up. I picked the robot card on page 82 to replicate. I substituted everything - different stamp set, different shape for the image panel, different ribbon, different designer series paper, different color combination. The samples in the new catalog are wonderful - great for not only showcasing the products, but also for providing inspiration with so many different project ideas.

I'm so glad that Fox & Friends (pg. 96) made the cut for the new catalog. When it came out in a mini catalog, it was one of the first items I bought! It's a great set for kid-friendly cards but is versatile enough for lots of occasions.

Thanks for stopping by!
