I'm still here!

Sorry for my disappearance, but my "day job" took over my entire life last week, I taught classes, attended a wedding and started making wedding invitations for my cousin over the weekend, and have one more big work commitment tomorrow. I promise I'll have more to share with you later in the week, but I'll give you a little sneak peek. Here are the 5 cards that were part of my thank you card stamp-a-stack over the weekend.

More details coming soon!

Manhattan Flowers

I finally got the new Manhattan Flower textured impressions die for the Big Shot and LOVE IT! :-) It's similar to a Cuttlebug folder but has exclusive Stampin' Up images. Instead of standard cardstock, I used vellum cardstock with the impressions die and love how elegant it looks.

For my card, I simply layered it over some Regal Rose cardstock, attaching it with brads, and then added a sentiment. Easy peasy! Hope you like it!

Stamps: Oval All (available April 1st)
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Vellum, Whisper White, Rose Red
Ink: Rose Red
Accessories: Big Shot machine, Manhattan Flower textured impression die, Rich Regals brads, scallop oval punch (available April 1st), large oval punch

Spring is here!

Happy first day of Spring!!I'll be back later today with a post and new card...

Easter basket

My fabulous upline Sherrie hosted another wonderful stamping night with her downline to make Easter projects. Originally, I wasn't going to be able to attend because of a work conflict, but that resolved and I was able to go. Boy, am I super glad that I did! We made the **cutest** Easter projects ever! My favorite was this Easter basket with bunny and sheep York peppermint patties:

The basket was made using the scallop envelope die for the Big Shot. We textured the cardstock to add some more dimension to the basket. And then we made these adorable little creatures out of punches. How stinkin' cute is this?!?!?

Thanks Sherrie for a fun night of stamping with the girls!

Going off track

There was a fun color challenge last week over on KWerner Design with black, gray and white. There were some gorgeous submissions, and I wanted to give it a try. But as I was making my card, it turned into more of just a monochromatic palette (I didn't end up using any white). I guess I got a little off track, but I'm pleased with the final result.

Unfortunately, it was super hard to get a good picture of it! The flash was too bright, but showed the detail of the embossing, but no flash showed the right colors but you couldn't tell anything was embossed. (In case you still can't tell, the florals and the sentiment are embossed in black).

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Best Yet (retired)
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Urban Garden designer series paper, black embossing powder, heat tool, Basic Gray taffeta ribbon, stampin' dimensionals

Flower brads

When Stampin' Up!'s Spring-Summer catalog came out back in January, one of the first accessories on my list was the flower assortment designer brads (p. 175). But then, what did I do? I put them away and hoarded them. What was I thinking?? I mean, they're so darn cute! So as I was looking through the images of the new "Eight Great Greetings" stamp set, I found the perfect place to try one out.

I love how it adds some dimension to the flowers. I colored one of the flowers with a Pumpkin Pie marker to match the designer series paper and then used a So Saffron flower brad for the other, giving it some dimension. And speaking of dimension, you know how hard it is for me NOT to use stampin' dimensionals, so, of course, they found their way to my card too!

Satisfied, Diana?! ;-)

Stamps: Eight Great Greetings (new!), One of a Kind
Cardstock: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Shimmery White
Ink: Stazon Black, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron
Accessories: Sweet Always designer series paper, flower assortment brads, stampin' dimensionals

Easter treats

The new Occasions Mini Catalog is coming out soon, but this month, Stampin' Up! is allowing customers to pre-order 3 stamp sets from the catalog! One of them is called "Eight Great Greetings" and includes stamps for a wide variety of occasions - from thank you to congratulations to holidays like Father's Day, Mother's Day and Easter.

With Easter less than a month away, I wanted to make a little goody bag with the Top Note die and a cello bag. When you fold the Top Note in half, it fits perfectly over the top of Stampin' Up!'s small cello bag. Fill it with candies and it's a super cute, super fast treat sure to bring a smile to anyone's face!

I colored in the image using markers and pulled the color combo from the jelly beans themselves.

Visit my website to order this very versatile stamp set today!

Shamrock wishes

With St. Pattie's Day just around the corner, I have seen a plethora of shamrocks created with Stampin' Up!'s full heart punch. So, of course, I just HAD to jump on the bandwagon! Plus, Sale-a-Bration is only around for about another two weeks, so I wanted to use my Polka Dot Punches set before it's gone. Love the versatility of that heart image!

I don't have any St. Patrick's Day sentiments, so I opted for a generic "wish big." Could be for my favorite Irish friend or could be an everyday birthday card!

And just WAIT until the Occasions Mini starts on April 1st! I predict you'll be adding that incredibly gorgeous Whisper White satin ribbon to your next order! ;-)

Stamps: Polka Dot Punches, Fifth Avenue Floral, Short & Swet
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink: Garden Green
Accessories: eyelet border punch, Whisper White satin ribbon (coming soon!), full heart punch

Top Note box

I have seen some adorable projects all over blog-land featuring the Stampin' Up!-exclusive Top Note die. I found the dimensions for the project somewhere, proceeded to misplace them, so I came up with my own version. My stamp clubbers made this one tonight:

Ladybug Thanks

Sorry I went MIA this weekend, but I participated in a multi-demonstrator stamp camp on Saturday. We had 110 campers and it was fun, but very tiring. We set up Friday afternoon, worked all day Saturday, and then I had to unpack all my supplies. Last night, inspiration hit though and I designed 4 of the 5 cards I'm doing for a thank you stamp-a-stack class later this month!

Here's one that I think turned out super cute, even though I think the picture doesn't do it justice!

You can't really tell, but the black panel has tiny polka dots, compliments of my Big Shot and those fabulous texturz plates!! Hope my customers like it! :-)

Stamps: Darling Dots, Really Retro
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Big Shot machine, Texturz plates, red gingham ribbon, scallop circle punch, word window punch, 1/16" circle punch, silver brad, stampin' dimensionals

Lucky Duck!

I'm participating in a group stamp camp this Saturday. Since Stampin' Up! is letting customers pre-order select Easter stamp sets from the new Occasions Mini Catalog this month, we wanted to have some samples to share with our customers. Some of the stamp camp demonstrators got together this evening to play with the new goodies. This was the first card I designed using the "Wagon Full of Fun" stamp set and the new scallop oval punch.

I think this little duck is so darn adorable! I stamped him with Stazon ink because I was going to do watercoloring. To color him in, I used an aquapainter and picked up color from the inside lid of the ink pads. And the "lucky duck" sentiment was just too cute! It fit perfectly in the large oval punch and then I was able to layer the scallop oval behind it.

Hope you like it!!

Stamps: Wagon Full of Fun (new!)
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Only Orange

Retro Fresh

While cleaning out some old samples, I came across this card that I made for a swap almost a year ago. I really liked the clean and simple layout, but wanted to give it a little more life. So I opted for a color combination inspired by the Retro Fresh style watch (check out pages 10 & 11 in the Spring-Summer Catalog). I'm planning the cards for my Thank You Stamp-a-Stack class later this month and this one just might make the final cut.

I didn't have ribbon with any of these colors, so I opted to use some pumpkin grosgrain ribbon, which just happened to complement the Tangerine Tango quite nicely! Enjoy :-)

Stamps: Garden Greetings
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Sumer Sun
Accessories: pumpkin grosgrain ribbon, stampin' dimensionals

Victorian Rose

I'm not crazy about the final project, but I was going for a Victorian vibe. I challenged myself to use Sage Shadow (a color I don't use very often), and when this color combination came together, it seemed to fit the bill. It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but the Sage Shadow panel was run through my Big Shot (my new favorite toy!) with the Flourish pattern texturz plate.

Don't look too closely - this was my very first attempt using the eyelet border punch and my holes don't line up perfectly. I've become much better at it with some practice! ;)

Stamps: Dreams du Jour
Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Sage Shadow, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Perfect Plum, Sage Shadow
Accessories: eyelet border punch, rose grosgrainribbon, Big Shot, texturz plates Stampin' Up Backgrounds, stampin' dimensionals
