Excuse me...

Sorry my blog posts have disappeared this week, but I've been busy coordinating a Sale-a-Bration Stamp Camp. And I'm happy to report that it was a great success! :-) Nearly 100 campers enjoyed a day of card-making with tons of stamped projects on display for inspiration. Two of my favorite pieces are from fellow demonstrators, Jaime Seiter - my one and only fabulous downline :-) - and Susi Brunk:

Now I can hopefully get back on a regular posting schedule, so stay tuned!

For a Colts fan

Today's card is one that I made for my older brother whose birthday is this weekend. He's a big Indianapolis Colts fan - hence the blue horses! Actually, I thought it turned out pretty cute! I stamped the horse image three times without re-inking to create the look of movement. The cardbase is a quarter sheet of Basic Black cardstock and then the Whisper White is the part that opens. Masculine cards are always tough for me...no ribbons, nothing frilly, just the basics. I hope my brother likes his card!

First day of fifth grade

As promised, here is another digital scrapbook creation. Using the designer templates in My Digital Studio makes scrapbook pages so easy! I started with a template featuring the retired Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin' Kit. Then I removed a few of the elements, added a different one from the same kit and added some text. That's it! Now, how simple is that??

Lego Experience

I played some more with My Digital Studio last night. The designer templates are great for making quick work of a scrapbook page. Then I started tweaking the designer templates - using them as a starting point but customizing most of the page. And lastly, I created today's project from scratch. I used one of my photos for the background, adjusting the opacity so that it wasn't competing with the rest of the photos. Tomorrow, I'll post one of my other pages that utilized a designer template so be sure to check back!

Guest Stamper: Gretchen

I love the simplicity of this beautiful card that was created by a fellow demonstrator, Gretchen Theus. Unfortunately, Gretchen doesn't have a blog so you can't see all the wonderful projects she creates, BUT I can show off this card I received from her in a recent swap! :-)

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll feature a vintage creation from another fellow demonstrator so please come back!!

Who's your bunny?!

Ok, so how stinkin' cute IS this bunny?? I saw an adorable Easter sign at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago and thought it would make a great card. I can't find the adapter that allows me to download photos from my camera phone, so I can't show you the inspiration piece. But it was an Easter bunny peeking over the top of an Easter egg.

Using the ornament punch for the bunny's face came from some other demonstrators' creations. Just snip off the top of it and it makes a perfect face!

Easter eggs

Have you checked out the Eggcellent Eggs kit in the Occasions Mini Catalog? It was made for decorating Easter Eggs with rub-ons, diecut flowers and rhinestones. There are also stands for resting your eggs on for display but the green stand looks like grass and that was the inspiration for today's card. I used the wide oval punch to make Easter eggs out of designer series paper. Isn't this adorable?!?
